Madison Knight Jr. - Owner
Training- G.I.A. As a Graduate Gemologist, I have been a part of Van Horne Jewelers since I was old enough not to be underfoot which adds up to over 33 years. My father, Madison Knight Sr., and I are co-owners of the store. In addition to the extensive G.I.A. training received, I’ve basically been a part of every operation of the store. From being a Goldsmith to traveling to buy diamonds, I’ve done it all. I enjoy the challenges of the retail business and especially like having a part in some of the happiest moments in our customers’ lives. Most recently, I’ve designed a custom jewelry database, Guild Jeweler, and have implemented it at my store and in 30 other stores around the country. It is through this comprehensive software suite that we are able to effectively manage our many customers and the complex aspects of owning/managing a premier jewelry store.

Kristine Glassburn - Sales Leader, Buyer, Marketing
Training- A.G.S. Certified Gemologist, & G.I.A. Graduate Gemologist I have been involved with the jewelry business for over 32 Years with approximately 29 of those being at Van Horne’s. If you know me you know that I truly love jewelry! This makes my career choice a perfect fit. Having the experience I do, which includes traveling all over the U.S. to various trade-shows, has allowed me to better help our customers in making jewelry choices that are both fashionable and timeless. Of course, I love dealing with the public and enjoy spending my days helping customers find that perfect piece, a wearable memory that can be passed down to future generations.
Dan Leonhardt- Chief Goldsmith
I’ve been a Goldsmith for over 29 years and have enjoyed the last 17 of those years at Van Horne Jewelers. Prior to coming to Van Horne’s I enjoyed being my own boss and ran a successful jewelry repair shop in Michigan. My specialty is creating premium custom jewelry by means of the lost wax process. As others can attest to, I am a perfectionist and seek ways to express this in my jewelry designs and in difficult repair projects. I have an eye for detail and I believe our customers appreciate the extra time and effort that goes into creating that special item. As a versatile member of the Van Horne team, I have my hands in sales and in shop operations. Ultimately I find it a privilege to work for a jewelry store that encourages the use of the fine equipment, which allows me to create the finest products for our customers.

Bill Martin - Store Manager, Goldsmith, Marketing
Training- G.I.A. Bench Jeweler studies I’ve been a Goldsmith for 13 years and have been part of the Van Horne family for the last 11. Prior to being hired by Madison, I owned and operated a jewelry repair shop in western Massachusetts. For the last five years I’ve enjoyed managing Van Horne’s with the goal of maintaining the customer relationships that are so important to a long-standing family business. Besides enjoying the design and technical aspects of the job, I like assisting customers in making good buying/repair decisions by sharing with them the finer points of jewelry manufacturing. As a Goldsmith by trade, I enjoy the complex fabrication that jobs sometimes require. My appreciation for fine jewelry transcends into my approach whether it be with a specific jewelry repair or a custom fabrication project. With the addition of CAD/CAM technology I look forward to further helping our customers design the perfect piece of jewelry!

Stacy Martin - Sales and Corporate Reward Programs.
I started work in the jewelry business 13 years ago when my husband opened a repair shop. I primarily assisted in making sure the shop was well-stocked and maintained client contacts. I’ve been employed at Van Horne Jewelers for the last 10 years. During that time I’ve specialized in photographing jewelry, have populated our extensive custom database, and have received G.I.A. training on identifying and grading colored gemstones. As a full-time sales person, I enjoy being able to listen to customers and then steer them to the perfect piece of jewelry.

Lori King - Sales
As a connoisseur of fine jewelry I look forward to helping you find the perfect gift for yourself or that special someone.

Mitch Wright
I started working as a goldsmith at Kings Jewelry Store on June of 2004. January through July of 2006 found me in Carlsbad,CA. obtaining a goldsmiths degree at the Gemological Institute of America. At the GIA I learned to make jewelry by the fabrication method and enhanced my jewelry repair skills. Since coming to Van Horne Jewelers I have really appreciated working with my fellow goldsmiths and brainstorming with them to find the best way to get the job done. My favorite comment from customers after we've repaired something here is, "It looks better than when I bought it" .

Chingiz Ragimbekov - Watchmaker
I have a long history in watch and clock repairing, and love my job. My father owned and operated a watch and clock repair business for 50 years. At the age of 6, my curiosity about clocks began. The next 9 years I helped clean watches for my dad, and at the age of 15 started working full time for my dad repairing watches. In 1994 with help from the Jewish Federation, My family and I immigrated to the United States from the former Soviet Union. After looking for employment for a short time, I gained employment from Hopman Jewelers by showing Patrick Hopman a clock that I built. In the last 15 years, I have become fluent in English. I am happy to join Van Horne's staff and I will put my 39 years of experience to good use. I desire to meet customers needs in all ways possible.

June Crow - Sales
June has always held a fascination with the process of jewelry making and the dynamics and beauty of diamonds and precious stones. This intrigue led her to pursue an education in this field by attending the London Gemological Institute for two years. While training there she was credited with a DGA (Diamond Gemological Association) and FGA (Fellowship of Gem Association). With this knowledge, June moved back to her home in Singapore and worked for Chopard Watch and Jewelry Company for five years. She then decided to move to the United States and applied for a position at Hopman Jewelers. After working at Hopman Jewelers as a Senior Sales Associate and Diamond/Jewelry Specialist for five years, she has moved on to Van Horne Jewelers due to Hopman's closing.
June’s favorite part about working for Van Horne’s is that she feels like she is part of the family. She enjoys working with her fellow associates and she likes seeing her customers happy and enjoys hugs of appreciation on a job well done. June loves diamonds, and Tahitian and South Sea pearls. She would like her customers to know that she can communicate with many people because she speaks six different languages, WOW! (English, Malay, Tamil, Mandarin, Cantonese, Nepalese, and Danish) She has a friendly disposition and a great English/Asian accent. She shows great patience in listening to make your ideas become a reality. With June’s diamond and jewelry knowledge wrapped in her years of experience she would be happy to make your diamond dreams come true!
Thank you June for all your hard work and dedication to Van Horne Jewelers!

Kevin Smith - Goldsmith
Hi there! My name is Kevin Smith, the most recent addition to Van Horne’s team.
For more than half my life the art of stone setting, jewelry fabrication and the physics governing metallurgy have been a passion for me. In 1994, upon completion of a two year course in gemology, then jewelry making at the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology, I landed a job as a goldsmith at Hopman Jewelers in Elkhart, IN.
Now, fifteen years later I am thrilled to be working along side the exceptional staff here at Van Horne Jewelers. Here I expect to further hone my skills and grow as a goldsmith/ bench jeweler while helping to maintain the stellar level of quality you have to come expect from Van Horne’s. I thank you for this opportunity.
